Back in February of 2004, I happened to be invited to a jewelry party that one of my aunts was hosting. I had never heard of a jewelry party but I was excited to go. Once I got there I immediately fell in love with the jewelry and decided to host my own show. I had nothing to lose, plus I was going to get my favorite necklace, Cache, for $7! What a deal. After hosting a really good show, my advisor kept asking me to join the business. I kept saying no. I was already working a full time job as a Computer Programmer plus had a part-time bartending job and didn't want to learn about at-home sales. After saying "no" to her about 10 times, I finally let myself listen to what she was saying. Then I said "yes". I have not regretted that decision.
