  1. Part Time Public Relations Representative (#70530)

    We currently have an opportunity for a Part Time Public Relations Representative at our Wood Dale location. This position is responsible for driving and executing opportunity public relations. The individual will be pitching Advisor stories to local, regional, and national media outlets to feature the Advisor and their story to help enhance lia sophia media exposure. This position will start off part time at 25 hours per week where 8 of the hours or 1 full day will be spent in the office at Wood Dale. The rest of the time, the individual may telecommute, and reporting the progress on a weekly basis.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Cold Calling local, regional and national media outlets, and pitching lia sophia Advisor stories
    * Developing local, regional, and national media contacts through cold calling and networking.
    * Researching different types of media outlets (TV stations, Newspapers, Magazines, Radio Stations, etc.) that are located in Advisors territory
    * Working with sales department to learn about lia sophia Advisors, and their stories
    * Speaking with lia sophia Advisors to learn about them, their stories, and what impact lia sophia has had on them
    * Providing a weekly report to the Director of Public Relations on the progress of new and existing media contacts that will feature lia sophia Advisors

    Required Skills and Education:

    * Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or English preferred
    * At least 3 years of Public Relations experience pitching to local, regional, and national media outlets
    * Must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work well with others
    * Must be comfortable cold calling media outlets, and pitching stories about lia sophia Advisors
    * Previous exposure working at an Agency where they had multiple clients and are adept at juggling many competing priorities
    * Must be creative, ability to take initiative, and have excellent follow through
    * Must be able to handle rejection, and be persistent in overcoming objections
    * Direct selling is a plus
    * Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

  2. Director, Training & Field Development (#70512)

    We currently have an opportunity for a Director of Training & Field Development at our Wood Dale location. This position will be responsible for creating a “best in DSA” training and field development capability, and will partner with the VP of Sales, in creating innovative, effective training and field development strategies for its Advisors and Managers.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Manage Training team to develop and inspire new and existing training methods.
    * Responsible for direction, content, and medium of training programs to field.
    * Assist with Annual Conference’s educational and training functions, Breakout sessions and stage presentations.
    * Attend field meetings and Advisor events and develop training.
    * Participate in company’s continuous improvement initiatives as needed and take a leadership role in technology improvement for the field.
    * Develop team development, business development, and coaching plans with targeted Advisor Managers.
    * Build “best in class” training and e learning capability in support of Advisors and Managers.
    * Create defined Manager Development, Manager Processes, and Recruiting Processes
    * Build “best in class” new advisor and new manager on boarding training and processes.
    * Partner with VP of Sales, in creating appropriate training to increase party productivity and active count.
    * Implement training evaluation and analysis methods to determine business impact.
    * Partner with key stakeholders in international markets to create appropriate trainings and training capability.
    * Identify key Managers and partner with them and their teams to achieve their goals.
    * This position will require up to 50% travel
    * Lead Field Development team in selecting target Managers and geographies for sales and advisor growth.
    * Implement key metrics related to Manager development, sales, and recruiting

    Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Required Skills and Education:

  3. Senior Writer (#70523)

    We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Writer at our Wood Dale location. This position is primarily responsible for creation of written materials for print and electronic communication with Advisors, Managers and Home Office coworkers. As a Senior Copywriter you'll be working in close collaboration with a talented team of Advisors, Managers and Home Office coworkers providing forward-thinking creative communications for print, electronic and social media. In addition, you'll keep your trained eye on the competition challenging the industry status quo and fulfilling lia sophia’s commitment to deliver outstanding work on projects large and small.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Effectively translate branding and marketing strategies for a wide range of clients/verticals into exceptional on brand creative concepts
    * Deliver outstanding copy for all-things digital: large scale web engagements, online advertising, social media, business development initiatives, brand boards, and video scripts
    * Timely creation of sales and marketing copy for print pieces, newsletters, flyers, brochures, sales promotion pieces, manuals training materials, copy decks, brand boards, creative comps, and style guides.
    * Conduct interviews with Advisors and Managers for use in newsletters and other marketing materials.
    * Project coordination, including securing copy and layout approvals.
    * Proofread/copyedit communication materials.

    Required Skills and Education:

Generates marketing reports to identify potential sales opportunities, retain customers and increase sales. Implement the development, maintenance, and information flows of customer data for marketing purposes.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Analyze weekly, monthly and annual sales, unit volume and recruiting data for purposes of corporate management evaluation of trends, cost effectiveness of promotion programs and incentives.

    We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Graphic Designer at our Wood Dale location. This position is primarily responsible for managing the development of a variety of marketing materials for Advisors, Managers and Home Office coworkers. This includes overseeing the process from start to finish — developing concepts, gathering quotes, designing, routing, revising, sending files to the printer, reviewing proofs and attending press checks, as needed. The Senior Graphic Designer is the lead designer on larger mailings and projects.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Source and negotiate with printers.
    * Timely creation of design layout for print pieces, including large Advisor mailings, incentive brochures, Conference brochures, newsletters, flyers, sales promotion pieces, manuals and training materials.
    * Ensure that all deadlines are met and that materials created are to brand standard.
    * Manage projects in the routing/revision phase, including securing layout approvals and making layout changes.
    * Review proofs and/or attend press checks and provide feedback to printer.
    * Build and maintain Advisor knowledgebase.
    * Mentor Junior Graphic Designers.
    * Occasionally create and design html e-mails and Web pages for corporate Web site and company Intranet.
    * Occasionally Create PowerPoint presentations for local and national meetings.
    * Other responsibilities/duties as assigned.

    Required Skills and Education:

    * Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field.
    * Strong sense of aesthetics, high task level and fashion orientation.
    * Proficient in layout and production.
    * Three to five years as a design professional in a corporate environment.
    * Superior working knowledge in QuarkXpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Microsoft Office.
    * A strong working knowledge of HTML, Adobe GoLive and ImageReady.
    * Strong in both Macintosh and PC platforms.

    We currently have an opportunity for a Merchandising Analyst at our Wood Dale location. This position is responsible for conducting database analyses for program measurement and evaluation.     * Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
    * Collect and analyze data on customer preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.
    * Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature
    * Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data.

    Required Skills and Education:

    * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Merchandising.
    * 3-5 years of merchandising and sales analysis.
    * Good communication and organizational skills.
    * Mastery of Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

    We currently have an opportunity for a Temporary Graphic Catalog Designer/Production Coordinator at our Wood Dale location. Primarily responsible for designing and creating all lia sophia catalog throughout the year. Overseeing color proofing of the catalog, work on associated product marketing pieces, proof media and print materials as well as maintain project development schedules.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Assist in designing of all lia sophia catalogs throughout the year and other print related materials.
    * Create copy and typeset into layout.
    * Color proof photos after photography to ensure each style is a good match to the product.
    * Proof catalogs and other related materials in both print and media form.
    * Maintain project calendars.
    * Meet required project deadlines ensuring emphasis to detail.
    * Manage multiple projects as well as work independently.

    Required Skills and Education:

    * Bachelors in graphic design with 2-3 years experience.
    * Bachelors in related field with a minimum 3-5 years experience in catalog design.
    * Working experience in the following printing programs: InDesign, Photoshop, Excel, Word, Internet and Acrobat.
    * Working knowledge of HTML; Experience with Illustrator helpful, but not required.

  8. Employee Relations Specialist (#70520)

    Administer employee relations daily activities, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, Drug Free Work Place, OSHA, Safety Programs, EEO1 and regulatory compliance. This position is expected to operate independently on day to day matters, under the guidelines established by HR management, works with and maintains confidential information.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    *Proactively develop and maintain effective employee relations in a professional, consistent, and fair manner through a hands-on and collaborative approach. Provide guidance and counsel to the management team on employee relations and employee leave of absence matters.
    *Effectively administer all Leave of Absence in compliance with Company policies and government regulations including; FMLA, ADA, and Workers Compensation.
    *Assist with Human Resources process management, including documentation of policies and procedures.
    *Maintain Workers Compensation files; function as liaison with Workers Compensation carrier, treatment facilities, employees and operations managers. Maintain a log of key conversations.
    *Administer Safety Program; including delivery of safety training, coordination of safety inspections and related documentation.
    *Counsel employees on benefits programs, enrollment information, and ensure documentation is forwarded to the appropriate office.
    *Administer procedures for Drug Free Work Place and function as liaison with Third Party Administrator for substance abuse testing and billing.
    *Administer regulatory compliance programs including Fair Labor Standards Act, Immigration documentation, required posting and record keeping.
    *Assist with Human Resources-related projects and special assignments, as required.

     

    Job Qualifications:

    * B.A. /B.S. degree in business or Human Resources Management. Master’s degree preferred.
    * 5+ years of Employee Relations experience.
    * Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification as designated through the Human Resource Certification Institute (SHRM), preferred.
    * Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or distribution and multi-location experience preferred.
    * Extensive knowledge of accepted United States Human Resource Management policies and related legal framework, for health care, compensation, and Workers Compensation.
    * Knowledge of accepted training and development practices, safety/OSHA practices, and related regulatory requirements.
    * Exceptional interpersonal and client-relations skills, with the ability to quickly build strong partnerships. Proven ability to effectively interact with a diverse employee population.
